Nota di Maria Donzelli sul workshop Tirana 9-11 Aprile

🇮🇹 – Breve commento al I Workshop di Tirana su zoom 9 -11 Aprile 2021

Il 9 Aprile 2021 ha avuto inizio il primo workshop su piattaforma zoom del progetto europeo “Youth involvement in a constructive dialogue: Communist Past in Contemporary Western Balkan” (YOU-WB). L’incontro, organizzato dal “Center for comparative and international studies” di Tirana, ha continuato i suoi lavori il 10 e 11 aprile. Hanno partecipato professori, ricercatori, rappresentanti della società civile, studenti, dall’Albania, dall’Italia, dalla Macedonia del Nord e dalla Francia.

Protagonisti i professori e ricercatori dell’Università del Mediterraneo dell’Albania, dell’Università “Alexander Moisiu” Durres, della Polis University, dell’Universsity of New Your Tirana, della “Laurasi” Univesrsity, con la partecipazione di esperti dello SCIDEV (Sciences & Innovation for Development).

I contenuti dell’incontro sono stati di grande interesse e tutti incentrati sul faticoso percorso della democrazia albanese dopo il regime comunista: dalla crisi dell’economia albanese degli anni 1980-90 e del suo impatto sulla fine del sistema socialista, alla necessità di ricostruire una memoria collettiva e un discorso politico nel tempo del post-totalitarismo, alla denuncia dell’assenza di una cultura politica che rallenta il consolidamento della democrazia, alla discussione critica sull’unità e separazione dei poteri nel sistema costituzionale albanese, alla riflessione sulla giusizia e sull’attuale potere dei partiti politici e alle difficoltà della loro costruzione nel periodo post-comunista.

I giovani hanno partecipato attraverso la chat ponendo una serie di questioni ai relatori, che hanno puntualmente risposto ai loro quesiti.

Il terzo giorno, i partecipanti al workshop dall’Albania hanno visitato la Casa delle Foglie a Tirana, il nuovo museo, che raccoglie ed espone le cose usate dai servizi segreti per spiare. Questo museo, una vecchia clinica utilizzata come quartiere generale del regime comunista albanese, offre un vero suggerimento per capire cosa stava succedendo in questo paese. L’incontro si è concluso con una visita guidata della città di Tirana.

A nome dell’Associazione Peripli e mio personale, ringrazio i relatori e colleghi albanesi che hanno animato questo ricco e interessante incontro, e tutti i partecipanti che lo hanno seguito. I contenuti di questo workshop saranno oggetto di riflessioni per tutti i soci di Peripli e in particolare per i giovani che partecipano al progetto.

On April 9, 2021, the first workshop on zoom platform of the European project “Youth involvement in a constructive dialogue: Communist Past in Contemporary Western Balkan” (YOU-WB) began. The meeting, organized by the “Center for comparative and international studies” in Tirana, continued its work on 10 and 11 April. Professors, researchers, representatives of civil society, students from Albania, Italy, North Macedonia and France participated.

Protagonists were the professors and researchers of the Mediterranean University of Albania, the University “Alexander Moisiu” Durres, the Polis University, the University of New Your Tirana, the “Laurasi” Univesrsity, with the participation of experts from SCIDEV (Sciences & Innovation for Development).On April 9, 2021, the first workshop on zoom platform of the European project “Youth involvement in a constructive dialogue: Communist Past in Contemporary Western Balkan” (YOU-WB) began. The contents of the meeting were of great interest and all focused on the arduous path of Albanian democracy after the communist regime: from the crisis of the Albanian economy of the years 1980-90 and its impact on the end of the socialist system, the need to rebuild a collective memory and political discourse in the time of post-totalitarianism, to denounce the absence of a political culture that slows down the consolidation of democracy, the critical discussion on the unity and separation of powers in the Albanian constitutional system, the reflection on the rightness and current power of political parties and the difficulties of their construction in the post-communist period.

The young people participated through the chat by putting questions to the speakers, who have regularly answered their questions.

On the third day, the workshop participants from Albania visited the House of Leaves in Tirana, the new museum, which collects and exhibits the things used by the secret services to spy. This museum, an old clinic used as a general quarter of the Albanian communist regime, offers a real suggestion to understand what was happening in this country. The meeting ended with a guided tour of the city of Tirana.

On behalf of the Association Peripli and my staff, I thank the Albanian speakers and colleagues who animated this rich and interesting meeting, and all the participants who followed it. The contents of this workshop will be the subject of reflections for all members of Peripli and in particular for the young people who participate in the project.
